Small fee increase – 1.9%

Dear E tū members,

From 1 July 2020 there has been a small increase in your membership fee.

Under E tū policy, voted by members at our conference, our fees increase each April by the CPI (inflation) rate for the 12 months ending the previous 31 December. This year, the increase is 1.9%.

The fee increase allows our union to service and advocate for members when needed, and organise workplaces so that members have a say at work. It supports E tū campaigns that transform the lives of New Zealand working people.

Your fees allow us to negotiate regular collective agreement pay increases and protect members’ jobs.

We are a democratic union. In 2020 we have Delegate Forums and a biennial national conference, where member representatives decide E tū policy.  Members will also have a say in the election campaign, putting our issues on the political agenda, making sure that workers have a voice in the way this country is run.

Thank you for being an E tū member.

In solidarity,
Bill Newson
National Secretary
